Dr. Suliman Al-Ghazlat

Board Certified Veterinary Internist

Dr. Suliman Alghazlat obtained his degree in veterinary medicine from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1999. After graduation, he remained at the school for a year of post graduate clinical research. He then moved to the United States to pursue his dream of becoming a board certified small animal internist. He completed a one year of clinical training at Purdue University in Indiana and obtained the certificate for Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG). He remained at Purdue University for an additional year to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Alghazlat then moved to New York City to successfully complete his residency in small animal internal medicine at the Animal Medical Center ( AMC). Following the residency and passing the required exams and research; Dr. Alghazlat became a board certified specialist in small animal internal medicine. Since finishing his residency, Dr. Alghazlat worked in multiple prestigious veterinary institutions including the Animal Medical Center, The University of Pennsylvania, Jordan University of Science and Technology and BluePearl Veterinary Partners.

Dr. Alghazlat’s particular interests include but are not limited to: hematology, immune mediated and infectious diseases, gastroenterology, nephrology as well as endoscopy and ultrasonography. After serving the New York/ New Jersey area for almost 17 years, he elected to partner with a few exceptional specialists to open a state of the art specialty and emergency hospital in northern New Jersey.

When not working, Dr. Alghazlat loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys tending to the farm which includes: 3 cats , 2 dogs, 2 emus , 60 chickens , 25 ducks ,14 guinea fowl, 4 alpacas and a partridge in a pear tree.
