Dr. Allison Sande graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She went on to complete a rotating internship in Connecticut, before then completing a combined small animal internal medicine and emergency and critical care residency at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. She became board-certified in both specialties in 2010. Following her residency, Dr. Sande joined a private practice in Maryland where she practiced as a staff criticalist and served as director of the rotating internship program and both the internal medicine and emergency and critical care residency programs. In 2013, Dr. Sande moved back to the northeast and joined the emergency and critical care department at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. While there she spearheaded the establishment of the hospital as an ACVECC-verified Level 1 Veterinary Trauma Center and served as the Trauma Center Director. Dr. Sande’s professional interests include fluid therapy, trauma, shock, coagulopathies and sepsis; she has written articles and lectured nationally on these topics.
Dr. Danielle Lee obtained her degree from St. George’s University in 2014 and finished her clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania. She went on to complete a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls. Following her internship she became a staff emergency veterinarian at Animerge in Raritan, NJ.
Danielle lives with her husband and maltipoo puppy in Bergen County. During her free time, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, watching a binge worthy Netflix series or taking a day hike through Bear Mountain.
After completing veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania in 2014, Dr. Bazewicz extended her training with a 1 year rotating internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in New York City. Since that time she has been practicing emergency medicine exclusively, with a 1 year stint at the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center. Her clinical interests include ophthalmologic emergencies, toxin exposures and gastrointestinal diseases.Outside of work Dr. Bazewicz enjoys traveling, anything involved with the beach and swimming, and spending time with the people she loves including her husband Kyle, her two perfect cats Gus and Charlie, and their crazy dog Libby.
Dr. Furusawa graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017. She then completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island and continued her career there as an emergency clinician for four years.
In her spare time, Dayna enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, her 2 miniature dachshunds, and 3 cats. She is an avid kpop fangirl and enjoys hiking, climbing, and running.
Dr. Nicole Pacifo obtained her degree from Ross University in 2005 and finished her clinical year at North Carolina State University. She went on to complete a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery internship, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. Following her residency she became a staff internist at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls, NJ. She then moved to New York City to work at BluePearl Veterinary Partners. Dr. Pacifico is boarded in internal medicine. She loves all aspects of internal medicine, but has a particular interest in treatment of gastrointestinal disease. Dr. Pacifico spends most of her time with friends and family, including her dog Abby. She also enjoys traveling, loves spending time at the beach and is an avid runner.
Dr. Lee obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University in 2012. She then went on to complete a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey, followed by a surgical internship at Veterinary Surgical Centers in Virginia. Dr. Lee has since enjoyed the rigor and constant challenges of being an emergency clinician. She feels fortunate to be able to help patients and their families in an emergency setting when things may be most difficult. Dr. Lee’s professional interests include emergency, surgery and integrative medicine.
