Dr. Allison Sande

Dr. Allison Sande graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She went on to complete a rotating internship in Connecticut, before then completing a combined small animal internal medicine and emergency and critical care residency at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. She became board-certified in both specialties in 2010. Following her residency, Dr. Sande joined a private practice in Maryland where she practiced as a staff criticalist and served as director of the rotating internship program and both the internal medicine and emergency and critical care residency programs. In 2013, Dr. Sande moved back to the northeast and joined the emergency and critical care department at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. While there she spearheaded the establishment of the hospital as an ACVECC-verified Level 1 Veterinary Trauma Center and served as the Trauma Center Director. Dr. Sande’s professional interests include fluid therapy, trauma, shock, coagulopathies and sepsis; she has written articles and lectured nationally on these topics.
