Jennifer L Baez

Board Certified Veterinary Oncologist

Dr. Baez obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery from VCA South Shore Veterinary Hospital. She stayed on at VCA South Shore and worked as a general practitioner for 3 years. She then spent a year working as an emergency veterinarian at West Bridgewater Veterinary Hospital (New England Animal Medical Center). She returned to Philadelphia and Penn Vet to complete a residency in internal medicine and became boarded in small animal internal medicine. After her internal medicine residency, she stayed on at Penn Vet to complete an oncology residency/lectureship. After becoming boarded in oncology, Dr. Baez accepted a position as an assistant professor in oncology at the Veterinary School at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Baez spent 9 years at Penn Vet before moving on to CARES (now Blue Pearl Langhorne) to focus on clinical oncology in private practice where she has been since 2005 before starting at Eclipse.

Dr. Baez is passionate about educating families about their pet’s cancer diagnosis so that treatment decisions can be created that optimize the pet’s quality of life first and foremost, while also potentially allowing the family to have more time with their beloved family member. She has authored and co-authored many publications and attends conferences to stay on the cutting edge of veterinary therapy available to her patients.

When not working, Dr. Baez enjoys horseback riding, exercising, traveling and spending time with her family which consists of her husband, who is also a veterinarian, her two daughters, and her three dogs: a Golden Retriever named Charlotte, a French Bulldog named Vivi, and an Italian Greyhound named Giorgio, with whom she is exploring the canine sport of Agility.
